Approach
I am deeply passionate about helping individuals achieve lasting emotional well-being by treating the whole person—mind and body. I believe that mental health challenges are intricately connected to physical sensations and emotional patterns. My approach to therapy integrates these dimensions to foster healing, growth, and resilience in a way that is both compassionate and holistic.
My journey into therapy has helped me develop a profound interest in the mind-body connection. While working in clinical settings such as UCSF and Kaiser Permanente, I discovered that true healing occurs when we address both emotional struggles and physical manifestations of stress. My work incorporates evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), but also extends beyond traditional talk therapy. I often integrate mindfulness practices and nervous system regulation techniques to create a balanced and comprehensive therapeutic experience.
Having spent time living in a Zen Buddhist meditation center and competing as a Division 1 student-athlete, I bring a unique perspective to my practice. These experiences shaped my understanding of resilience, discipline, and mindfulness, which I integrate into my therapy work to guide clients toward emotional clarity and stability. Every session will be tailored to your unique needs, ensuring that you feel heard, supported, and inspired to take actionable steps toward positive change.
When I’m not in the therapy room, I enjoy hiking, exploring new places, dance classes, and capturing moments through photography. I truly look forward to learning more about you and how I can support you in your journey towards emotional well-being and personal growth.
