KELLY VINCENT, PSY.D.
Specializes in trauma, anxiety, depression, identity, motherhood, female entrepreneurs, 20 and 30-somethings, and mind-body approaches.
Approach
I am deeply passionate about treating the whole person. I recognize that mental and emotional struggles are intricately connected to the body. My approach to therapy goes beyond the mind, encompassing the physical and spiritual aspects of well-being.
During my graduate studies, my dissertation focused on integrating movement and exercise into traditional talk therapy. This research ignited my passion for psychophysiology and a mind-body approach in therapy practices. As a result, my therapeutic work is integrative, often incorporating the physical body through EMDR, yoga, biofeedback, breathwork, walk-and-talk therapy, nervous system education and regulation, meditation, and somatic work. My goal is to address all aspects of the client: emotional (attitudes and beliefs), physical (manifestations of struggles), and spiritual (deeper meanings about existence and future).
My experience in the corporate world, working with companies such as Sephora, Visa, and eBay, has given me a firsthand understanding of managing fast-paced environments that can push individuals to their limits. This background fuels my passion for working with young professionals, female business owners, and women struggling with high-functioning anxiety and imposter syndrome. I also specialize in supporting women navigating motherhood.
I strive to create a safe, supportive, and calming environment where clients can find relief and build insight and adaptive coping tools for their daily lives. My aim is to help clients manage the intensity and frequency of their experiences more effectively.
In addition to my clinical work, I am the author of "True You: A Self-Discovery Journal," "A Holistic Guide to Managing Anxiety" eCourse, and "When You Feel Like a Fraud: A 6-Step Guide to Managing Imposter Syndrome" eCourse.

A Little More About Dr. Kelly Vincent
1. What inspired you to become a therapist?
My path to becoming a therapist was anything but linear. I actually started my career in business marketing, but in my mid-20s, I felt a deep pull that I was meant to be doing something different—something more connected to people and purpose. While still working in the corporate world, I spent a year exploring psychology—taking classes, volunteering, and talking with professionals in the field.
The more I learned, the more I realized how meaningful it felt to help people understand themselves on a deeper level. Once I began working with clients one-on-one, I was hooked. There’s truly nothing like witnessing someone’s healing process, supporting them through growth, and watching them come home to themselves. It’s one of the greatest honors of my work.
2. What song instantly puts you in a good mood?
Any early 2000s pop music, hands down. I’m definitely showing my age here, but if you throw on some NSYNC, Britney Spears, or Usher, I’m singing every word. There’s just something about that era that instantly lifts my mood and brings me back to simpler, carefree times.
3. Coffee order or favorite treat?
Chai Tea Latte with almond milk all day, every day. Fox Point Farms here in Encinitas makes one of the best :-).
4. What’s a small joy you look forward to every day?
Getting into my pjs, grabbing a cozy blanket, and reading my book.
5. What’s one thing that always makes you laugh?
My kids. They are wild animals ;).
6. What’s your current guilty pleasure (or not-so-guilty)?
Love is Blind. I find the entire premise fascinating.
7. What do you do to regulate your nervous system?
For me, it has been a blend of somatic and cognitive practices. Typically, I combine meditation and mindfulness, physical exercise, sunshine, talking it out, breathwork, and becoming aware of my somatic sensations.
